Northland announces a new summer day-camp5/7/2008
Superior Adventures is a new summer day-camp being offered by Northland College and the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute. Geared toward students in current grades 5-8, the program will be held Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute.

WRNC radio announces 24-hour broadcasting1/15/2008
The Northland College radio station, 97.7 WRNC, began 24-hour broadcasting on January 8. Previously, WRNC offered programming from noon until midnight seven days a week with about one-third of that time filled with pre-recorded programs. The new 24-hour broadcast schedule will feature more time slots for new DJ’s and several new programs including National Native News, Free Speech Radio News, and an original half-hour news program produced by WRNC.
Corn plastic travel mugs to be available at Northland12/13/2007
Northland College and Chartwells will be selling refillable travel mugs made of 100 percent corn-based plastic.They will be available for sale in Sandella’s, the Northland campus store, and in the Baldwin Commons in the Ponzio Campus Center beginning Monday, January 7.
New environmentally-friendly cleaning program at Northland11/5/2007
Northland College has announced the use of a new environmentally-friendly cleaning program for all campus buildings. The new line of products and accessories is called Healthy High Performance Cleaning from JohnsonDiversey. The College has selected new products, implemented new procedures and started new building care programs that are better for the environment, the campus and the greater community.
Choral Celebration to be held at Northland College10/19/2007
Northland College will host a Fall Choral Celebration on Saturday, October 27. The Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute (SOEI) at Northland College will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a free event Friday, September 14 at 5 p.m. Stacy Schaefer, environmental education coordinator at the Institute, encourages the public to attend. “This is something we can share with the community,” said Schaefer. “It’s a celebration of our place in the Northwoods.”
