Dive into the fascinating world of ticks and ethics with Dr. Michael Lindquist on this episode of Biology Connections where we ask the question, “Why don’t we just wipe out all the ticks?” What are the moral implications of eradicating entire species that we consider pests and the philosophical considerations behind our interactions with the natural world? Through it all, we might just realize that not all parasites are bad (for us, at least). Discover how Northland College students prepare themselves to tackle these bigger questions on sustainability, ecosystems, human connection to nature! Enjoy this thought-provoking discussion on the intersection of biology, philosophy, even Mars and video games, and the choices we make for a better future.
