About Our Guest
Dr. Meghan Salmon-Tumas is an assistant professor of climate science at Northland College and geographer specializing in remote sensing. Her research career began with wildfire impacts on air quality and expanded to studying climate change effects on agriculture, land use, and forest phenology. She has authored reports on climate adaptation, presented at major conferences, and is currently researching the impacts of the 2023–24 warm winter on upper Great Lakes ecosystems. On this podcast episode, she explores climate resilience, science, and the environment with Northland College experts.
