Computing at Northland College

Welcome to computing at Northland College. This information will help you to log on to campus computers, use your Northland College email, and connect your computer in your residence hall.

Agreement

By receiving a User & Email account, you are agreeing to abide by the Northland College IT Department Code of Ethics and all applicable policies and procedures as found on the policies page.  Any violation of this contract may subject you to a suspension of computing privileges and/or prosecution under College conduct codes and/or appropriate State and federal laws.

Northland Email

There are two basic ways to check your Northland email.

1. First, select "Campus Tools" the upper right-hand corner of the Northland College home page.
2. Then, select Webmail in left-hand navigation.
3. Alternatively, you can go directly to the email log-on screen at http://mail.northland.edu.
4. For OLD STUDENT EMAIL: When the logon screen loads, type your username in the "Full Email Address:" box (in front of @northland.edu) then type your password in the "Password:" box, and click the "Log On" button. For ENHANCED LIVE@EDU STUDENT EMAIL: When the logon screen loads, type your Outlook Live email address (i.e., smithj01@myemail.northland.edu) in the “Windows Live ID” box; then type your password in the “Password” box.

The Bridge

The Bridge is Northland College's site for students, faculty, and staff (you must have an active Northland logon account for access to certain sections). It is a portal to course registration, class midterm and final grades, and other information.

There are three ways to access The Bridge:

1. Click on "The Bridge" link in the footer of every page of www.northland.edu.
2. Navigate through "Campus Tools" at the top of every page of www.northland.edu.
3. Go directly to The Bridge logon screen at http://portal.northland.edu.

To access Campus Services, click the link and type in your username (i.e., smithj01) and password and click "Login."
