Not even a little bit! The application for 2021 will open in mid-summer as usual, and we will start reviewing completed applications the week after Labor Day in September. Keep an eye on Northland’s website and social media channels (and your email inbox) for updates.
You can! We are offering in-person individual visits Monday through Saturday. You can also explore campus via video tour and interactive map, or participate in one of our monthly Online Preview Days if visiting in person poses a challenge.
You are encouraged to explore our website, subscribe to our Instagram and YouTube channels, and (most importantly) when you hear from your individual admissions counselor by email, text, or phone, don’t ignore them. We genuinely want to get to know you!
You do not have to submit test scores if you were prevented from taking the ACT or SAT due to COVID-19 or you have a score you feel does not accurately reflect your academic ability. However, we reserve the right to request any additional academic information deemed necessary during the application review process.
Everybody is in a similar situation, and this will not affect your admissions prospect. Northland makes admissions decisions based primarily on academic performance, not extracurricular involvement. That said, we would love to hear how you’ve been keeping busy during this time of social distancing!
Northland will continue to provide financial aid for all qualified students through a mix of merit and need-based awards.

“It has taken many years to fully realize how influential Northland College truly was.
