• Student looking for books in library

The American Bar Association, the American Association of Law Schools, and pre-law advising organizations agree that a solid liberal arts education is the best preparation for law school. Because of this, law schools accept students with a wide variety of majors and backgrounds.

Your advisor will help you find a major that has relevance to the type of law you want to practice and pursue a course of study that best fits. You will explore courses that will develop skills in: analytical and problem solving, critical reading, writing, oral communication and listening, and general research.

In an agreement, Northland sends students to Vermont Law School, one of the best environmental law schools in the country, fully prepared for the rigors of that, and other programs.
