Despite a particularly rainy weekend, spirits were high and joyful during the 2023 Fall Festival and Camp Brother Bear activities.
This year’s event was intimate and focused around the reunion of Northland football alumni. After years of organizing on the part of members of the 1973 team, the guys showed up to celebrate their notable athletic accomplishments and relive the good ol’ days on the Northland gridiron.
Saturday featured the Athletic Hall of Fame induction, lacrosse scrimmage, and the Orange and Blue Reception, where Dr. Andy Matheus ’85 received the Distinguished Alumni Award and alumni from the class of 1973 received their Brownell Keys. The evening on campus culminated in a reception for LumberJack football players and fans in the John N. Allen Fitness Center.
South of town, Camp Brother Bear was drenched and delighted! Enjoying the tunes of five bands in the hills of Highbridge, Wisconsin, this event enjoyed a successful first year with organizers looking forward to building partner- ships for more fun next year.
