During the course of this back-to-school season, we have seen students upgrading their dorm rooms in BIG ways. Everything from eye-catching removable wallpaper to personalized coffee carts fit for any caffeine connoisseur has been added as additional dorm room decor. However, not everything found inside mainstream retail stores and online dorm boutiques can speak for all. Lily Sevilla, a sustainable community development and sociology major with an environmental science minor at Wisconsin’s Northland College, has stylishly shown that vintage purchases can be cool (and functional) for dorm living, too.
