Join the Northland College Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute’s Youth Programs after school this winter for Nature and Art! Explore various ways of expressing yourself through different art mediums and connecting with the natural world. There will be opportunities for art, adventuring, and getting creative with peers!

This program is open to youth in grades 6–9. Youth Nature and Art meets every Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. starting January 30, 2025, through March 13, 2025.

Registration for this program is based on a sliding-scale fee—pay what you can. Suggested fee is $10–70.

Registration will close after Monday, January 27, at 12 p.m. or when we reach our limit of participants, whichever comes sooner.

You only need to register for Youth Nature and Art once—your registration covers all sessions.

Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute outings and trips are open to participants who are able to meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC). Accommodations may be made as long as it does not compromise the health or safety of staff members or other participants or significantly alter the fundamental intended outcomes of the program.

Essential Eligibility Criteria are not intended to be exclusionary, but to honestly identify the basic and fundamental elements of outing or trip participation that are integrally tied to safety and risk management considerations. These criteria are the essential skills that each participant is required to perform for safety in each type of program offered and are applied equally to all potential participants.

The Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute’s youth programs use a sliding-scale fee to keep our experiences accessible to all. Please pay what you can. If you’re in a position to add a little more, your additional contribution will help us to continue ensuring that outdoor experiences are financially accessible to all.

Please note: cancellations made fourteen (14) days or more before the event will result in a full refund. Cancellations after fourteen (14) days receive no refund. However, at the discretion of the program coordinator, a refund may be offered. If SOEI Youth Outreach programs need to cancel a full refund will be issued.

Donations made above the program fee are not refund-eligible.
