Who says you can’t bike with snow on the ground? With a fatbike, you can traverse snowy terrain otherwise inaccessible to bike enthusiasts!
Join SOEI Outdoor Pursuits on a winter ride on the award-winning CAMBA Gateway Trail. No winter biking experience or gear necessary. All bikes and helmets will be provided by New Moon Bike & Ski Shop, a wonderful shop operated by Northland grads in Hayward, Wisconsin.
All participants must be able to balance on a moving bicycle without aid in order to participate in this outing. Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided.
This event is open to current Northland College students, faculty, and staff.
The full cost of facilitating this SOEI day outing ($85.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the Endeavor Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, February 2, at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, and return by 5 p.m. on the same day.
Registration has closed. We hope you can join us on a future outing!
