Visit the woodlands and coastline of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore to learn the basics of identifying mammal tracks from wildlife biologist and Timber Wolf Alliance Advisory Council Chair Adrian Wydeven and Red Cliff wildlife biologist Andy Edwards. From squirrels to hares and foxes to wolves, they’ll share their decades of experience in deciphering the strides, gaits, and patterns of footprints left behind by our furred friends. Finding wolf tracks is a good possibility on this trip!
This event is a field trip for the 2022 Chequamegon Bay Birding and Nature Festival. You can find it in the program by the name “Tracking Mammals in the Field (FT-4).” Learn more about registering here.
