Stewards of Tomorrow: Backpack- Isle Royale is for girls 13–15 years old interested in a six-day wilderness backpack experience with peers on one of the most beautiful islands on Earth! For six days, we will camp on Isle Royale learning about ourselves, each other, and the island while taking in the pristine beauty of Lake Superior. We will connect with Isle Royale National Park rangers and work with them on a service project. Participants should plan on six days of travel, hiking an average of 5–7 miles a day, with plenty of time to enjoy our time on the island and our campsite. Our program staff—who are seasoned outdoor guides—are familiar with the cultural and natural history of the region and will share the stories of the National Park throughout the trip. We will also make time for art and stewardship as we travel throughout the island together. Group size limited to eight participants.
Registration has closed. We hope your youth can join us for a future outing!
