Located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, the Moquah Pine Barrens is known as a hidden gem to many Northland students—a place to camp, hike, or marvel at the northern lights. Join SOEI Outdoor Pursuits in getting out to enjoy exploring this local treasure on snowshoes or trekking skis, and embrace the joys of Winter. Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided.
The full cost of facilitating this SOEI day outing ($85.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the John C. Bock Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, January 20 at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 22.
