Author Dan Flores, winner of the 2017 Sigurd F. Olson Nature Writing Award, will read and talk about Coyote America: A Natural and Supernatural History, Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College.

Flores lives in the Galisteo Valley outside Santa Fe, New Mexico and is a Professor Emeritus of the History of the American West at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Flores is an accomplished author of ten books and his essays on environmental issues and on the American West have appeared in newspapers like the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune, and in magazines such as Texas Monthly, Orion, Wild West, Southwest Art, The Big Sky Journal, and High Country News.

This event is free and open to the public.
