Northland Has Heart—join us in celebrating 130 years of Northland College this GivingTuesday by giving back! Come to the Ponzio Campus Center’s first floor 10 a.m.–1 p.m. on November 29 and help us support The BRICK, a nonprofit serving Ashland and Bayfield counties in our region.
Ways You Can Help Northland Give Back
No-sew T-shirt Tote Crafting
In partnership with the ReUse Room, we’re repurposing t-shirts and giving them new life! Bring in your unwanted t-shirts and help us turn them into tote bags for The BRICK Ministries’ local food shelf. These bags will reduce the use of plastic and other less sustainable options when serving families. You’re invited to learn how to make these bags, construct a few for the cause, and show how Northland has heart and gives back to our local community.
If you don’t have t-shirts of your own to bring, stop by and craft with us! If you have t-shirts but don’t want to join us for crafting, drop them off—we’re happy to take them!
Any unused t-shirts will be donated to the ReUse Room on campus.
Paper Product Drive
Paper products are a highly-needed, yet frequently unavailable resource at The BRICK. Northland Has Heart, and in an effort to give back to our local community we’re collecting paper products and other essential items to donate to The BRICK.
Here are the most requested items:
- Paper products—toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and sanitizing wipes
- Personal care—toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, and tampons/pads
- Toiletries—shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash/soap
Even one roll or package can help. Join us in giving back.
