National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer event for people to celebrate and give back to our public lands. Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, this celebration brings out thousands of volunteers to help restore and improve public lands around the country.
Join SOEI Outdoor Pursuits in a day of caring for and giving back to the local public lands that help make a Northland way of life so wonderful! We’ll be partnering with regional federal land managers and conservation nonprofit agencies to repair, restore, and conserve local ski trails and green spaces.
This event is free and open to the public.
No previous trail work experience necessary! Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided. Bring extra layers, a water bottle, and snacks.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, September 26, at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI or Camp Brother Bear (depending on where you are) on Saturday, September 28, at 8 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. The outing will initially depart from the SOEI and then swing by Camp Brother Bear.
Registration has closed. We hope you can join us on a future outing!
