Mindfulness is a skill that can be learned. It helps us be more present and grateful for the moment at hand. Meditation calms the mind and alters our relationship with it. We become more aware of our habitual mental patterns and develop strategies for responding to situations with patience and compassion. As we transform our relationship with our minds we develop more kindness and compassion for ourselves and the world around us.
Join meditation instructor Amy Billman for this eight week series. If you have no previous experience, you will come away with everything you need to start a daily meditation practice. If you have been meditating, you will gain more experience working with the mind and obstacles that may arise both on and off of the cushion.
Classes begin February 1st and 2nd. Classes are 50 minutes long. Class runs for 8 weeks ending April 6 with no classes on March 8 and 9 or March 29 and 30.
