Calling all sophomore and junior students considering pursuing a master’s, doctoral, or professional degree!
Would wrap-around supports, guidance, skill development, mentorship, and paid summer research opportunities help you achieve your goal? (We thought so!)
The McNair Scholars Program was created to increase attainment of PhDs and graduate degrees for students from traditionally-underrepresented groups in society. If accepted, you will:
- Conduct and present field-specific research (includes a stipend $$$!)
- Be paired with faculty and professional mentors to guide you through the process
- Get support for completing grad school and scholarship applications, as well as GRE testing prep
- Do graduate school visits and attend industry-relevant professional events
- Be part of a cohort of students working toward similar goals
To find out if you’re eligible, or to learn more about applying prior to this year’s October 30 deadline, stop by and connect with Aaron Wainman, the assistant director of the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s TRIO McNair Scholars Program! Aaron will be on campus to answer your questions—no appointment necessary. Just swing by the table on the first floor of the Ponzio Campus Center.
Can’t make it or prefer to connect with Aaron individually? Schedule an appointment with them at calendly.com/awainman.
