Join us for the first “A Day in the Life of a Northlander” series. The format is casual, questions are welcome, and the whole family is invited to learn from our alumni. Our first guest is Max Metz ’10, the Manager of School and Teach Programs at Shedd Aquarium. This event will be moderated by Alumni Board Member, Stuart Schmidt ’17.
Max had this to share: I work at one of the most interesting and inspiring places in the Midwest—the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois. But what does my work look like? How do the amazing animals that call Shedd home to interact with my work? How did my Northland College degree prepare me to excel in my current role? Who is part of the outstanding team that helps me bring Shedd’s mission to fruition?
These questions and many more as we dive into A Day in the Life of the Manager of School and Teacher Programs at Shedd Aquarium.
