Living a Modern Wilderness Life

February 27, 7:00 pm8:00 pm

Cori and Ryan Mattke

Wilderness has influenced Cori and Ryan Mattke’s relationship as a couple, their professional lives, and their approach to building a family. Part exploration of a sense of place, part manifesto on the power of wildness, Living a Modern Wilderness Life explores what it means to carry the wild with you. Cori Mattke is a graduate of Northland and is the former associate director of Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness. Ryan Mattke is a map and geospatial information librarian at the University of Minnesota.

Join us for a series of three lectures to celebrate 40 years of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. All three lectures will be held at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute beginning at 7 p.m.
