This event has been rescheduled from its original time due to weather conditions. Iskigamizigan-gabeshiwin will now take place on Wednesday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the same location. It was previously scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, 5–8 p.m.
Participants will learn sugarbush 101 essentials, sumac tap making, maple sugar making, and maple sap boiling. You’ll find us outside of the Hulings Rice Food Center.
Come hang around the fire and try some sweet sap, or snack on some goodies provided by the Hulings Rice Food Center team! Our Ojibwemowin 2 students will be providing some basic language lessons, and NAS 227 Native Foodways students will help teach about sugarbush, tree tapping, and so much more.
This event is free and open to the public.
