Looking for a quintessential Northwoods winter experience? Join SOEI Outdoor Pursuits for a day on the ice of our local gem, Long Lake. We’ll cut some holes, set some fishing lines, build a fire, drink hot cocoa, and bring snowshoes for those who want to explore the lake. Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment are provided.

This event is open to current Northland College students, faculty, and staff.

The full cost of facilitating this SOEI day outing ($50.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the Endeavor Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.

There will be a pre-trip meeting in the LumberJack Lounge in the Ponzio Campus Center on Thursday, January 19, at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, and return by 5 p.m.
