Join SOEI Outdoor Pursuits (and guest instructor, Professor Mike Riley!) for a day on the ice. No experience necessary; you’ll learn the basics of crampon and ice tool use, body positioning, and movement at one of the north woods’ premier ice-climbing destinations! Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided.
The full cost of facilitating this SOEI day outing ($155.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the John C. Bock Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, February 3 at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5.
