Girls Empowered Trails is for girls 10–13 years old interested in getting outside, working hard, playing hard, and learning what it means to be a confident steward of this Earth. For four days, we will base camp at Mt. Ashwabay where we will learn stories of the area and make stories of our own! Each morning, we will rise from our tents and head out to volunteer on local trails, cutting and maintaining bike, ski, and hiking trails for future use. In the afternoon and evening, we will explore, recreate, and enjoy land and water trails in the area.
This four-day program is for girls who may be new to camping and who may not have much experience sleeping away from family. We will be local and close to home which may help your child feel comfortable, and our staff will support your child to have success with learning skills for making it through the night, feeling safe, and having fun!
Registration for this program is based on a sliding-scale fee—pay what you can. Minimum amount is $60; suggested amount is $60–200. Please contact Katherine Jenkins if you are in need of financial assistance.
Space is limited to ten participants. Registration closes on June 1 or when the program fills, whichever is sooner.
