You’ve worked hard this semester—it’s time to take a deep breath before finals. Join SOEI student leaders for a relaxing weekend getaway at Forest Lodge. Nestled on the south shore of Lake Namekagon, you’ll enjoy leisurely walks through the Forest Lodge Nature Trail, lounging in the Boat House overlooking Champaign Island, and eating hearty home-cooked meals before settling in around the fireplace for evenings of board games and crafts. This weekend is all about returning to campus well-rested and ready to finish the semester strong.
The full cost of facilitating this SOEI weekend trip ($350.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the John C. Bock Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, October 4 at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 12 and return on Sunday, November 14 by 5:30 p.m.
