The Forest Lodge Educational Campus is an 872-acre estate with more than one dozen primary buildings. Most of the buildings were constructed in the 1920s and 1930s, and they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property was a life estate from 1999 to 2013, when it was conveyed to the USDA Forest Service through the Trust for Public Land. The USDA Forest Service has managed the site since 2013. Northland College has been a partner developing and organizing conservation education programing at Forest Lodge since 2016.
Participants will need to fill out a volunteer agreement with the USDA Forest Service; these will be available for you onsite. If you have an existing volunteer agreement and none of the information has changed, you are good to go.
