Join filmmaker Doug Pray for a weekend workshop focused on creating impactful documentary films that will make a difference in the world. The workshop will give you the tools you need to assess, plan, and create an impactful documentary and will include participatory activities, teaching demos, and short screenings of films.
This free event is open to current Northland College students only.
This three-part workshop will take place September 29 to October 1, 2023:
- Friday, September 29—6:30–8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 30—9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Sunday, October 1—10 a.m.–1 p.m.
About Doug Pray
Doug Pray is a director of feature documentary films that have focused on American subcultures and maverick individuals, including graffiti writers, truck drivers, surfers, the Seattle music scene in the 1990s, and hip-hop DJs. He also directed an Emmy-winning film about creativity and advertising and is currently working on a film focused on gun rights and gun violence.
