This event is for kids and grandkids at Fall Festival. Youth ages 5–17 are welcome to join us in a day of fun and exploration! We will meet at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute in the morning and head up the Bayfield Peninsula for the day. We will head to a couple different destinations: Houghton Falls and Frog Bay Tribal Park for short walks, Friendly Valley Beach, and maybe the orchards for some exploration, art, and apple cider!
We ask that youth bring their own lunch, snacks, and a water bottle for the day. They should also be prepared with a day pack with raincoat/pants, warm layers, and maybe a swimsuit and a towel (who knows what the weather will be!)). Of course, we always have a wool hat in our bags too—summer or winter on Lake Superior!
The cost of the event helps cover transportation and art supplies. More information will be emailed to you upon registration. Please contact Katherine Jenkins at kjenkins@northland.edu with any questions.
