UW Extension of Ashland County is all about supporting youth, their families, and building strong communities. If this resonates with you, make time to stop by for this drop-in networking opportunity!
You’ll learn more about their programs, (including 4-H clubs, camps and after school programs), how you might be able to get involved, and share stories about the impact these types of experiences had on you as a kid!
Employer representatives include:
- Blake Frost, County Office Manager (2020 Northland Sociology / GIS graduate!)
- Kate Wallner, 4-H & Youth Development Educator
Pro-tip: This is a great way to establish professional networking contacts in your industry! Show up and opt-in! This event is open to all – you do not need to be current Northland student to engage.
UW-Madison is a public university guided by public service. The Wisconsin Idea stipulates that education should influence people’s lives beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Extension brings the research of the University to the people of Wisconsin. Our offices throughout the state provide educational opportunities in the communities where people live and work. The Extension Institute of Positive Youth Development prepares the youth of today to become the effective, empathetic adults of tomorrow. Our research-based youth enrichment programs like teens in governance build youth and adult capacity and partnerships that help both sides grow. 4-H clubs, camps and after school programs give young people the hands-on experiences they need to develop an understanding of themselves and the world.
This event is free and open to the public.
