Deep Adaptation: Living with Flooding panel

Recent floods in the Chequamegon Bay make clear that climate change is not something that is coming, it’s something that many of us are already dealing with. What have people been experiencing, what can we expect, and how will we respond?

You’re invited to a public panel and community discussion that is part of an ongoing series on climate change adaptation and community resilience.

Todd Rothe, owner of River Road Farm and manager of the Hulings Rice Food Center at Northland will discuss how the 2016 floods nearly wiped out his farm and how he’s responded.

Mike Wiggins Jr., Bad River Tribal Chairman will describe how flooding ravaged his community and how they recovered.

Matt Hudson, Associate Director of the Mary Griggs Burke Center for Freshwater Innovation will explain the science behind what we’ve been experiencing and what we can expect.
