In celebration of the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute’s 50th anniversary, David Backes, Sigurd Olson’s biographer, will be discussing Sigurd Olson’s keynote speech dedicating the Institute on October 20, 1972.
This virtual event is free for all to attend, but registration is required.
David Backes is the author of A Wilderness Within, the award-winning biography of Sigurd F. Olson. He has produced three other books in the Olson series, including the recent book of Olson’s journals, A Private Wilderness. His first novel, Listening Point, will be published in 2023 by Riverfeet Press.
This event is part of the Timber Wolf Alliance’s Wolf Awareness Week.
