Traditionally, Convocation has occurred annually on the first Friday after classes in collaboration with the communal Everybody Party and a celebratory walk across the Fenenga Bridge for our incoming students. Due to the pandemic, we have found another way to welcome and celebrate you, our students, this year.
Please find time to walk across the Fenenga Bridge and take part in this alternate Convocation. On the bridge there will be printed copies of the convocation message and charge from President Karl Solibakke. Take a copy, pause to contemplate not only the significance of the charge but this important time in our lives, and reflect on your role in the Northland community.
New students, there will be a table in the Ponzio Campus Center first floor to return your Lake Superior stone. All stones will be kept until graduation and displayed near the Post Office.
We are so glad you are here, so proud of all you have accomplished in the first month, and look forward to a wonderful rest of the year!
