As part of the class HIS 325: Nature and Nation, Professor Erica Hannickel will give a lecture on the early national naturalist William Bartram, his connections to the founding fathers, and how some of his observations of the Creek and Cherokee people and their government styles in the southeastern United States came to inform the framing of the US Constitution.
This lecture is open to current Northland College students, faculty, and staff.
If you plan to attend, please email Erica Hannickel by Friday, September 15, to receive reading materials so you can participate in the discussion.
