Join SOEI student leaders on a leisurely six-mile paddle down a section of the Namekagon River to take in the striking fall colors. One of the nation’s first eight Wild & Scenic Rivers to be designated with the 1968 Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Namekagon meanders through quiet alder stands and past cedar and hemlock groves on its way to the St. Croix River. Paddlers often enjoy glimpses of migratory song birds, beaver, river otter, deer, raptors, and a host of other iconic north woods species.
No previous canoeing experience necessary. All instruction, paddling equipment and lunch provided by SOEI Outdoor Pursuits.
