Join Outdoor Pursuits student leaders on a leisurely six-mile paddle down a quiet section of the Namekagon River and take in the striking fall colors. One of the Nation’s first eight National Scenic Riverways designated by the 1968 Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Namekagon meanders through quite alder stands and past cedar and hemlock groves on its way to the St. Croix River. Paddlers often enjoy glimpses of migratory songbirds, beavers, river otters, deer, raptors, and a host of other iconic Northwoods species. No previous canoeing experience necessary!
Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided.
