The Ashland Chamber Music Society presents its second concert of the season, the Brett Jones Duo!
This event is open to the public.
The duo consists of Dr. Brett Jones (professor of percussion at the University of Wisconsin-Superior) and Stas Venglevsk, a virtuosic Bayan (accordion) performer. Venglevsk has soloed throughout the world, including numerous performances with Doc Severinsen, Steve Allen, and on A Prairie Home Companion.
This concert will include works by Estonian composer Peteris Vasks, Ilio Volante, Raul Jaurena, David Friedman, and Dave Samuels, as well as original works by both performers. Styles will include Eastern European dance, tango, jazz fusion, minimalism, and classical chamber music.
