Beat the Apple Fest rush and join us at the Bayfield orchards for a day! Every fall, we take a group up to spend the crisp fall afternoon harvesting local apples and exploring the orchard, then returning to campus to press cider and cook apple-inspired goodies over the fire with our partners from the Hulings Rice Food Center. You won’t want to miss out on this fall tradition.
Transportation, experienced instructors, lunch, and all equipment provided.
The full cost of facilitating this weekend trip ($240.00/person) has been largely offset by a generous grant from the Endeavor Foundation. What’s more, to meet our goal of ensuring equitable access to our experiences, students may choose from three price-point options.
There will be a pre-trip meeting in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute on Thursday, September 29 at 6 p.m. This outing will depart from the SOEI on Saturday, October 1 at 11 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.
