Join together with us and our partners and friends from the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa as we celebrate and honor our relationship with the Tribe.
We proudly raise the Bad River Flag on our campus to recognize our students, show respect for Tribal sovereignty, and promote unity. The flag represents the rich history and traditions of the Bad River Band and serves as a symbol of the Bad River nation—a sovereign nation with a unique culture, history, and rights. Northland College and the School District of Ashland, which will also raise the Bad River Flag at three of its schools and at its district office, are celebrating Bad River and Ojibwe culture and showing that we value and appreciate their contributions to our community.
This event will take place at the flagpole on Ellis Avenue between Wakefield Hall and the ravine/Bay City Creek.
This event is free and open to the community.
