The Burke Center will host leading water experts in a panel discussion on Bayfield County groundwater, Lake Superior, and the Great Lakes Compact.
The program will consist of brief presentations, a moderated panel discussion, and an audience Q&A session.
Moderator: Peter Annin, director of the Mary Griggs Burke Center for Freshwater Innovation, author of The Great Lakes Water Wars, and leading expert on water diversions in the Great Lakes basin.
- Todd Ambs, deputy secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and one of the state’s leading water policy experts.
- Ken Bradbury, State geologist and director of the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey, and one of Wisconsin’s leading groundwater experts.
The Burke Center has secured Ron Seely, retired environment reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal, to write a white paper about the event, including recommendations to help preserve groundwater resources in the future.
