American kestrels are amazing critters with wings. In this public lecture, Associate Professor of Natural Resources Erik Olson will introduce local efforts to conserve and monitor kestrels. He will also explore how his recent research findings have shed new light on this falcon that he has been fascinated by since 2001. He hopes his lecture will inspire curiosity and appreciation for our feathered neighbors of the grasslands.
This event is free and open to the public.
This is a hybrid event—the talk will be held in the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College, and attendees can also join virtually via Zoom.
