In 2014 National Geographic named Dave and Amy Freeman Adventurers of the Year. The next year they embarked on a year-long adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to raise awareness about the threat posed by Twin Metals and other sulfide-ore copper mines being proposed near the BWCAW. In this presentation, they will share stories and insights from their year in the wilderness.
Join us for a series of three lectures to celebrate 40 years of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. All three lectures will be held at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute beginning at 7 p.m.
