Chef Steven Keen is a Northland Alumni that came to work at Northland in September 2022 after over 25 years in the high-end dining/ restaurant industry. Most recently, he was the Executive Chef at the Rittenhouse in Bayfield, WI. While in school, he studied Conflict Resolution because he was interested in arbitration and setting up mediation centers. As a Chef, Steve is interested in creating menu items that showcase flavorful dynamics and are inclusive for our diverse population to enjoy! When asked what is his favorite type of cooking- Chef Steve replied "Grilling!". Chef Steve loves grilling steaks and has done thousand and thousands of them throughout his career. Some would say he is a pro. When Chef Steve is not at work- he is kept extremely active by his 5 year-old daughter, Savannah. Together- they like to camp, fish, hike, and explore Bayfield and Ashland County together.
