Earned and Honorary Degrees
BA Religion/Philosophy and Outdoor Education, Northland College
Background
As the Coordinator of Applied Learning at Northland College, I am responsible for coordinating experiential learning opportunities for students in the areas of leadership and career development. With a focus on the environment and sustainability, Northland College offers students opportunities to learn and apply new ways of making change on campus, in the community, and through national and global partnerships.
I earned a B.A. degree in Religion/Philosophy and Outdoor Education in 2004 from Northland College. My past work experiences have included native landscaping, dogsled guiding, and coordinating the LoonWatch Program at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute. I am currently a fellow in the state’s premier leadership program, Group XVI Leadership Wisconsin.
Interests
I am a volunteer EMT with Mason Area Ambulance and serve as a board member for the Inland Sea Society and the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters Institute. In my free time, I enjoy fly-fishing, gardening, hunting, and canoeing.
