My education and work experience include over fifteen years in non-profit program management and over fifteen years as an educator. Prior to moving to Wisconsin in 2008, I taught developmental reading and English in a community college in North Carolina. I've also taught at the high school level, administered teen parenting programs, services for homeless families, and worked with seniors. At twenty-one, I served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines.

Why Northland?

I believe in Northland's environmental focus and overall mission.

My master's thesis focused on the use of a book club model with adult students in developmental reading courses.

Dragon boat racing, cross country skiing, kayaking, hiking and walking with Maybelle the Dog, reading, and spending precious time with people I love.
