BA International Relations, Stanford University
MS Applied Economics, UW-Madison
Background
After completing my graduate degree, I worked at a non-profit organization focused on child welfare, served as an academic advisor at UW-Madison and Oregon State Universities, and taught high school social studies. My main interests are in economics of development and environment and civics education.
Student Involvement
In my courses I make a strong effort to engage students in the exploration and civil discussion of controversial issues in order to prepare them to be productive members of a democratic society.
I am also an advisor for the Northland Nordic Ski Club.
Interests
In my free time I love to cook, run, ski, and swim in lakes.
