MS Applied Economics, University of Wisconsin–Madison
BA International Relations, Stanford University
After completing my graduate degree, I worked at a non-profit organization focused on child welfare, served as an academic advisor at UW Madison and Oregon State Universities, and taught high school social studies. My main interests are in economics of development and environment, and civics education.
In my courses I make a strong effort to engage students in the exploration and civil discussion of controversial issues in order to prepare them to be productive members of a democratic society.
In my free time I love to cook, run, ski, and swim in lakes.
