Background

Most recently, I come to Northland after working as a program counselor at Northland Counseling Services. There I worked with individuals struggling with a variety of different mental health disorders. I provided support and insight for those clients in hopes that they themselves would see their value and worth. Prior to that position, I was a student athlete at Waldorf College. While at Waldorf, I was on both the Warriors volleyball and softball teams for four seasons and loved every minute of it.

Why Northland?

I have grown up very passionate about and involved in athletics, which is how I found myself in my position within the Northland College Athletic Department as an administrative coordinator and student-athlete services provider. I am also the assistant volleyball coach. Not only is Northland located in a beautiful area, it is allowing me to pursue a career where I am afforded the opportunity to work with others who, like myself, are passionate about athletics, but are also concerned with the success of their student athletes beyond the realm of athletics.

Student Involvement

I am working with the Student-Athlete Leadership Program and also S.A.A.C. in order to help guide and mentor students in pursuing things outside of their sport. I work closely with my wonderful mentors, learning how I can best do my job to help the students succeed in their own ways and create their own path for their future successes in life.

Personal Interests

When I am not working in the office or coaching, there is a good chance you will see me at the public library. I love to spend time curled up with a good book or watching a great movie. I am also a sports fan of primarily volleyball, softball, and baseball (Go Twins!). I also take time to support my Minnesota Vikings whenever I can!
