Background
Colleen Brewer has been a practicing culinarian on the east coast (VT & NH) for the past 10 years. She loves fresh and local ingredients and is extremely competitive- wanting to always bring bold flavors forward and win your attention! Believe it or not, Colleen was not always a culinarian but actually attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH for a BA in music and a BA in English Literature- concentrating in technical communications. New to Northland College, Colleen accepted the Director of Dining position in May 2021. Previous to that- she worked as the Health Center Dining Director at Kendal at Hanover for 4 years- working with the elderly to ensure nutrition and appreciation for food through the journey of aging. Prior to her employment at Kendal at Hanover, she worked for 10 years at Plymouth State University (her alma mater)- working her way up from a garde mange culinarian to Catering Director before leaving to find her next adventure! When Colleen is not running around Ponzio Student Center or cooking in the kitchen, she is home with her husband, Jesse. Hobbies include playing the piano (which she practices EVERY day), riding her scooter around town, spending time with her puppies, and watching BAD 80's television. If you ever have questions- stop on by any dining location and ask for her by name! She is happy to address questions and concerns OR just chat about life, the universe and puppy hugs! See you soon!
