Background

I have a background in water chemistry and biology that began during my undergraduate schooling at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Water and Environmental Analysis Lab (WEAL) and continued throughout my early professional career. As a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, I conducted the biological monitoring of and reporting for two local streams as part of a long-term adaptive management program.

I am strongly interested in the responsible stewardship of freshwater resources and communicating freshwater science to all. Additionally, I am particularly interested in the effects of phosphorous and sediment loading on aquatic ecosystems.

Why Northland?

I have a lot of respect for Northland’s longstanding history of promoting environmental education and sustainability. The community at Northland is also a great one to be a part of.
