I've been an interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service since 2008, working at St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. I currently hold a social studies teaching license for grades five through twelve in Minnesota, and previously taught geography.
Interpretive Program Development teaches students critical public speaking skills, techniques for creating and delivering quality interpretive programs, understanding diverse audiences, and works on real-world projects with the US Forest Service and National Park Service.
