I am originally from Nigeria where I grew up in a plural society with a diverse cultural background. I am the fourth child of my mother. I completed my high school education in Iwo and an associate degree in mechanical engineering at Yaba College of Technology Lagos, Nigeria. I migrated to Jamaica where I pursued a bachelor of science in accounting and proceeded to pursue an advanced degree in business administration at University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
I had the opportunity to become a financial aid counselor at University of Bridgeport shortly after the completion of MBA degree. The job provided opportunity to interact with a diverse group of students, parents, and staff. A few years later, I relocated to Philadelphia where I was engaged in various professional activities and embarked on a doctoral degree program. I became an adjunct professor with Indiana Institute of Technology in 2012 and also with Florida Institute of Technology in 2014. In May 2014, I joined the Revenue Department, City of Philadelphia, as an accountant where I oversee the recovery of public funds and demonstrate the techniques, practices, and normal applications of established procedures analysis of public accounting.
The decision to become a full-time scholar these past years came out of the passion I have for teaching and obvious opportunity to inspire learners for success. My ambitions, goals, and inner passion as an educator are to stimulate interest, aptitude, transformational learning strategies, as well as, ethical values that are befitting to both community and business environments.
My efforts are centered on various phenomena of management, leadership, sustainability, social responsibilities, and ethics.
I wanted a small-size institution where it is easier to hold individual learners through the journey of life. I also like Northland's sustainability commitments and the focus of the college's stakeholders.
